I agree with many of the points on this post. The basic saying, that quality is better than quantity rings true here. Having a total Fan base with 3 digits that are interested in what you are about or your business is about is much better than having 5 digit fan base just to increase your fan base total. Your social media engagement efforts can fall on deaf ears if you don't choose and select your fan base wisely. Very good article. In my opinion it is very important to bring people IN. Especially teachers have to be confident in using facebook and social media, as they have to be able to supervise student's activities online. Linda,I'm really disappointed that I am the first commenter on an excellent post your sentiment and thoughts are clear and I think accurate. Too many people are following the "high numbers" (followers/fans) game rather than actually think about any form of strategy.
